at the pool..

We went to the pool today to get away from the heat. I believe it was 105 in Austin today…. yeah, HOT, to say the least.

and, YES, like a nerd, I took my camera to the pool, too. I’m trying to get good exposure and aperture right out of the camera, without any post editing. The pictures turned out ok, especially when I turned the ISO down from 1600 to 100! duh!

anyway.. this is my favorite picture of the day.. I did edit it at home a bit, but I only turned it black/white and cropped it. I LOVE how Logan’s eyes look in this one.. I may have to print it!

ok.. I’m off to start a movie for my tired swimmers..! Have a good night!

ok.. i’m back

for some reason i just cant bring myself to delete this blog.. i dunno.. it’s not like i remember to update it all the time… or like anyone is actually reading.. but still, i cannot hit the delete button.. weird.

so.. here i am again.. posting pictures. my goal for July is to post pictures at least once a week. (small goals is the way i roll.) we’ll see how i do with that.

do you have a best girl friend?

you know.. i’ve got lots of friends in my life, but not really a “best girl friend”… and i miss having one..

it’s weird, i know. but i find myself thinking that i want a friend who really ‘gets me’.. ya know..? now, don’t get me wrong.. my husband is my very best friend and i KNOW he GETS me, but its different having a “best girl friend”…. i miss the chats and doing stuff together… i miss the “i know she’ll do anything for me” feeling… i miss the “she’ll always be there for me” feeling… ya know?
i thought i had a ‘best girl friend’ a few yrs ago, but it didn’t turn out so good. i don’t know what happened.. i guess the relationship just wasn’t as important to her as i thought it was? maybe it was all for the best.. i dunno..
but i do miss the ‘best girl friend’ thing…
